“Orlando has natural engineering intuition and clearly is on his way to developing a sound academic baseline to support that intuition. His friendliness and positive attitude allowed him to be approachable and easy to work with.
Overall Orlando was a great Co-op, so I will have to get specific when trying to find areas of improvement. There was a time when Orlando became too focused on a small task, but after suggesting that he take a step back to look at the big picture, he quickly adjusted. Orlando knows the right words to explain his ideas and share his opinions and in smaller groups can express his enthusiasm, but occasionally in larger meetings, he sounded less confident in his great ideas. I think its a common area that a lot of engineers could improve in, including myself, and I am happy to say that by the end of the co-op I saw an improvement in his ability to confidently express his ideas in a way that captured his audience.”
