As a candidate for a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University with a minor in Mathematics and a minor in History, I have developed a strong foundation in engineering principles and problem-solving skills. My GPA of 3.6/4 reflects my dedication to academic success. I have also taken a range of relevant courses, including Capstone, ME Design, ME Computation, Measurement and Analysis, Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics. In addition to my studies, I am actively involved in extracurricular activities, including the Northeastern Italian Club (where I am the Treasurer) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
I possess a range of technical skills, including proficiency in software such as SolidWorks 2022, Static FEA, AutoCAD 2020, MATLAB, Microsoft Excel, XCode, Arduino IDE, Swift, and C++. I am also comfortable using tools like the Instron machine, SLA and FDM 3D printers, and hand tools. I am a native speaker of English and Italian, and I have taken Japanese classes up to Intermediate 1.
I have gained practical experience through co-op positions at leading companies such as NxStage, Insulet Corporation, and Siemens Healthineers. In these roles, I have worked on projects including designing and creating relevant documentation for fixtures, assisting in human factors research, designing and 3D printing fixtures and parts, and creating a cooperative robot workstation. I have also served as a teacher's assistant, where I supervised student projects and graded assignments.
In my personal and academic projects, I have tackled tasks such as producing a report on 3D printer design using SolidWorks FEA and failure analysis, analyzing data on hydroelectric dams with MATLAB and creating an overlay on a Moody's Chart, and publishing two apps to the iOS App Store.
I am a versatile and driven individual with a strong passion for engineering. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge in a real-world setting and make a positive impact on a team. I am confident that my hands-on experience, technical skills, and passion for learning make me a strong candidate for engineering roles. I am graduating in May 2023 and am actively seeking opportunities to start my career in the field.
